Description:

I have three little girls and they (and me) love to wear headbands, barrettes, curly pony ties, curled ribbons, bows, flowers...So for this swap you will make a total of 3 hair "things" for your one partner. Your choice of what type.
Important: These are to be handmade which means you would buy a new pony tail holder, plain barrette, headband and then embellish it. Some of you are probably crafty enough to sew headbands or they could be new plastic ones that you then coverin ribbon, etc.
I am saying 3 because if you are great at making headbands then why not make 3 different patterns, styles, etc. I have found when I make these things for my girls the hardest part if gathering the glue gun, supplies, etc. and then it's easy to get to work... in fact maybe you want to spoil your partner with more...but, only 3 are required. If you only have one style or color then 3 of the same is fine....my girls are also famous for trading and loosing them at school!

I would like to participate. However, I am a newbie to swap-but, but I am not new to swaps. I have been participating in and hosting swaps since 2005. I am currently in a handmade bracelet swap here on swap-bot, and this (if I am accepted to participate with your group) will be my second swap. As for me, I have one little girl, she enjoys wearing altered hair bows, clips, barretts and bobie --pins, and headbands, so any of this would be nice and appreciated. Thanks, and looking forward to receiving a pal and her info.

Are these just being made for children or adults too? Its just that I like wearing things in my hair too (I make my own feathered hair clips) but I wear dreads so I can't fit a headband over them and can only wear clips. =( Also, I'd need to know if it was for my adult partner or their child so I can pick an appropriately sized headband. =)

I am hoping people will read profiles so they can know whether to make for a little girl or grown up :). I guess no guarantees but add it to your profile what you prefer and hopefully you will be pleased.

The person I am pal'ed with has not been on since 6/7/11, and there is a rating of a 1 for this person ---left by a pal from her previous swap on 6/10/11. I am afraid this person may be a flaker...needless to say, I am wandering who she is supposed to ship to......I would hate for her pal she is supposed to send to, not receive anything, and be flaked on. Is this a legitimate concern, or should I go ahead and send to the person assigned to me, and let these cards play out as they ay. I have my hair barrettes ready to ship.
