We all have different ideas when making our Zentangles. This is an opportunity to share some fun & unique fill patterns with our fellow artists.

Using a standard 3.5" square, create for your partner a 9-patch sampler of fill patterns. Be sure that your sampler is on a sturdy base. Typically cardstock if fine, but this Zentangle will need to be just a bit sturdier.

My hope is that this sampler will become an indispensable tool. It will give your partner designs to consider when pondering the path of their pen.

This is a great group! I'm sure we won't have any problems, but I now post these rules for every swap I host.

Just to be clear...this swap is for a standard 3.5 zentangle. I imagined it divided like a tic-tac-toe board, but I've recently seen some pie-shaped samplers. The choice is yours!

it would be fun to make copies of our sampler and do more swapa with different partners or maybe have four or five partners we send the same sampler to this time? Generally I prefer single partners but I would like to make a book of these...

@hollycm6 that is a great idea! I know I learn more about zentangling every time I swap, and samplers are a good way to learn. We could also make a Zine sampler as another fun zentangle project. As always, if anyone likes and of the ideas I suggest - please feel free to use them and set up a swap. Oooo, how about a matchbox swap filled with a dozen inchie fill patterns? I'll write down all of these ideas. Look for more fun zentangle swaps soon!
