For this swap you will make Rockabilly-esque Matchbox Shrines. Think Bettie Page, Elvis, Johnny Cash, etc.

The matchbox being used will be the one that holds 32 matches. You will have 2 partners. We will create 2 shrines, one for each partner.

Ugly Details:

  1. If you have a rating less than 4.6 please don't join.

  2. No newbies, you must have a rating that meets the above requirement to join. Anyone with more than two No Sends will be banned.

  3. Sorry but I will not provide an extra swap if someone flakes. We all need to make 2 shrines which does take up quite some time.

  4. US Only.

Please send a nice shrine, let's place a smile on your partner's face.

OK...I love this theme and could not resist signing up...but I'm going to have to put some thought into Marilyn Monroe as a rockabilly icon...

I'm thinking Gene Vincent...Buddy Holly...Stray Cats?

Oh, darn...I didn't mean to ost that and make you take Marilyn off there...I'd love to see a rockabilly take on her image!

I've been a rockabilly fan probably longer than some of the people on swap-bot have been alive...and I'm willing to loosely interpret the theme, cause it's a great one!

I love this idea but I have a question. We make the matchbox as a shrine right? But then do we also fill it with rockabilly stuff as well? Rock on rockabillies! Hooray for Stray Cats!

I've received both my shrines they are wonderful. I hope my partners have recieved theirs from me, I didn't use a matchbox but something comparable to it. I wanted to try something different, hope you like them.
