There have been quite a few Wonky House Block Swaps, and I thought it might be nice to have a "downtown" for our Wacky Town Quilts. This will be a continuous series for a few months, as long as there is interest. Each month will have a different town block:

  1. Town Hall
  2. Bank
  3. Post Office
  4. Hardware Store
  5. Pet Shop
  6. Supermarket/Grocery
  7. Garage/Gas Station
  8. School
  9. Library
  10. Gift Shop

The block for the swap does not have to be paper pieced, but it can if you like.

Edited: Don't forget to include a few strips of some of the fabrics you used so your partner can use it to make the block fit in their project.

I definitely want to participate in this if it takes off! I also looked into possibly buying the My Kinda Town paper pieced pattern...wowzer! It's expensive everywhere! But I just LOVE that quilt!

What size do we make the block?

@StichinGrammie the block for this first swap is the Town Hall, and it can be any size suitable for a quilt, say between 9 and 15" square-ish.

Also, I edited the description above to add: don't forget to include in the package a few strips or scraps of the fabrics you used to help your partner adjust the block to fit her project!
